PerformX Werribee is offering over $6,000 in scholarships

We believe every young person deserves the chance to grow in confidence, creativity and connection through the performing arts, no matter their background or experience.​

 

This July, we’re giving local Wyndham students the chance to join our all-in-one performing arts program via our Scholarship Fund.

Scholarship Details

What’s On Offer:

  • x3 Full 12-month scholarships

  • Covers 100% of program fees

  • Open to students aged 5–18 who have a Wyndham Residential address

  • For our all-in-one weekly performing arts program (acting, singing and dance)

  • Gift Box from our Supporting Partner Bloch including complimentary pair of fitted Jazz Shoes

Who Can Apply:

⭐ Creative Spark (Talent Category)

  • For young people showing real potential in performing arts, whether through natural ability, early experience, or standout presence.

💛 Rising Through (Support Category)

  • For families navigating financial challenges, personal hardship, or life transitions.

How Recipients Are Selected:

All scholarship applications will be reviewed by our selection committee based on:

  • Genuine interest in the arts

  • The potential impact the scholarship could have

  • Alignment with our values of inclusivity, courage and creativity

All applicants will be notified of the outcomes by email before Term 3 commences.

💛 Rising Through (Support Category)

For families navigating financial challenges, personal hardship, or life transitions. You don’t need to explain your full story just let us know what support would mean to you and your young person.


⭐ Creative Spark (Talent Category)

For young people who show natural ability and potential in performing arts whether through school plays, dance classes, private lessons, or just standout presence. This scholarship is ideal for those who are already performing, or showing strong signs of creative talent.

A Note from Our Founder - why this scholarship matters

Growing up, we didn’t have much. We lived in government housing, and money was always tight. I never had access to all the extras sport, music, after-school activities and was never really great at sport. And to be honest, school was tough for me.

 

I was bullied a lot and I never really felt like I belonged anywhere. But something shifted in Year 9. I stepped out onto stage in our school’s Aladdin pantomime, 1 of only 3 boys and I still remember the feeling.  I wasn’t the one being picked on. I was someone with a voice. With confidence. With something to say.

 

That moment gave me courage. And over time, it gave me a path. But my family couldn’t afford to help me take it further and I’ve always carried that.  And now I support my two girls (9 & 12) on their own Performing Arts journey.

 

That’s why I started PerformX. And it’s why we’re offering over $6,000 in scholarships this year to make sure that money or circumstance never stops a young person from discovering their place in the world.  PerformX isn’t just about acting, singing, or dance. It’s about giving young people a place where they belong where confidence grows, friendships form and a support network wraps around them and their families.

 

We’re here to help raise fearless, resilient, grounded humans ready to take on the world.  And if this scholarship gives just one young person that chance, it will have been worth every bit.
